Coal Seam Gas Central Processing Plant FEED Study
Vecta conducted a FEED study for a new coal seam gas 80 TJ/d central processing plant in the Surat Basin Queensland. Part of this FEED study would comprise a 10% cost estimate for the detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of project delivery.
E&I Engineering Support
Vecta were engaged to provide Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) engineering support during the critical phases of the gas plant upgrade, which were the mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
FEED Study (Manufacturing Facility)
In 2020, the Client engaged Vecta to conduct a FEED study for a new manufacturing facility in Victoria. Part of this FEED study would comprise a 10% cost estimate for the detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of project delivery.
Hydrocarbon Spill Remediation System
Our client is a prominent supplier of liquid fuels to the Australian domestic market. As part of their ongoing operations they required the installation of a remediation system to extract LNAPL from the ground water. This system is comprised of underground pumps and hoses and a collection tank including a truck load out bay. Vecta was engaged to provide a turn-key solution from a consultant-supplier concept design through to commissioning.
Flare Shroud Tank Replacement
Our client is a prominent Gas explorer, producer and supplier of Gas to the Australian domestic market. As part of the acquisition of an existing gas processing plant in the South West of Victoria, our Client required the tank that encompasses the flare to be replaced. Vecta were engaged to undertake the complete on site works, with the new flare tank being free issued.
Gas Plant - Return to Service
Upon acquisition of an existing gas processing plant in the Otways region, our Client required the facility to be brought back from a mothballed state to full production. Vecta is currently undertaking the site works associated with this plant refurbishment.
Online Condition Monitoring
Following a recent RAM study, Vecta were engaged by the Client to perform follow-up work on two of the RAM study recommendations, seeking budget estimates for Condition Monitoring Improvements and recommended Critical Spares for reciprocating compressors.
Steam & Condensate Pipework - Fabrication & Installation
Includes the fabrication of piping spools and consequent installation activities associated with the replacement program. While most of the tie-in works will be undertaken during shutdown conditions, the pre-planning works including fabrication and access requirements (e.g. scaffolding) will be undertaken prior to the outage events.
RAM Study
Vecta were engaged by the Client to perform a Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) study of compressor systems in a midstream oil and gas facility. The Client planned to use the findings and recommendations to assist in developing the most suitable scope for a major expansion project.
Process Engineering Support
Vecta were engaged to provide process engineering support during the critical phases of the gas plant upgrade, which were the mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Pipeline Coating Assessment
The surface coating condition of the product pipelines required assessment to ascertain a structured and methodical repair program, systematically ensuring the protection of the integrity of the parent pipeline material.
Fire Water Tank Replacement
Part of the essential services in maintaining the operational integrity of the Newport site is the fire water system. The fire water tank had reached its life cycle end, and hence required replacement. Vecta were engaged to engineer, manage and deliver this project.
Diesel Additive System
As ongoing improvement in diesel fuel technology is realised, new products to the market can enhance performance. Our Client, therefore, has the requirement to enhance their diesel fuel by dosing with an additive. Vecta were engaged to deliver the additive dosing system project end-to-end.
E&I Supervisor Support
Vecta were engaged to provide Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) supervisory support during the critical phases of the gas plant upgrade, which were the mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Fire Pumps Replacement
The fire suppression system, which is an integral component of the sites’ essential services, required upgrading. Vecta were engaged to manage, procure, fabricate and site install the scope of works.
Jet Fuel Pipework Optimisation
There are currently three Jet Fuel storage tanks at the terminal. The purpose of this scope of works is to provide the tanks with additional system capability to accept product from various sources, and discharge product to various locations.
Vecta Group were engaged to engineer, manage and deliver this project.
Project Delivery Process Development
Vecta Group was engaged to develop a Project Delivery Process for the Client in order to harmonise the Client’s existing project engineering documentation as well as to increase their consistency, accuracy and quality.
Maximo Assessment
The Client engaged Vecta to provide Maximo consultation and undertake an assessment of the existing Maximo deployment and provide additional advice.
Design Review – Internal Floating Cover
As part of the ongoing maintenance program at a fuel distribution terminal, the inspection program had identified that the internal floating cover within one of the tanks required replacement. A vendor selection process was undertaken, with the preferred supplier submitting drawings for client approval of a new, replacement internal floating cover (IFC). Vecta were engaged to review the design of the proposed new IFC, on behalf of the Client, such that the fabrication drawings could be approved for construction.
Pipeline Product Surge Mitigation
There was evidence that product surge within the pipeline, during pump start-up and emergency shutdown operations, was contributing to reduced filter life.
Vecta were engaged to confirm that surge was a contributing factor, and engineer a solution.
